Privacy policy

Last updated 8 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data StaffingRadar handles, where it comes from, why, and what you can do about it. It covers three groups: visitors to staffingradar.com, our customers, and the people in our data.

In short

  • If you work in Norway in a role we cover, we may hold your public LinkedIn job history. Your name never shows on public pages, and a lead carries no email addresses or phone numbers.
  • Write to hello@staffingradar.com with the address of your LinkedIn profile and we delete your data within one month.
  • Our home page runs no scripts and no tracking. If you arrive from an ad, one cookie is set for 30 days.
  • Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.

1. Who is responsible

StaffingRadar is the controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at hello@staffingradar.com.

2. The people in our data

Who. People who work, or have worked, in Norway in the roles we cover in leadership, HR, sales, IT and finance. Also contact people named in job ads, and the CEO (daglig leder) and other roles listed in the Norwegian company register.

What. From public LinkedIn profiles: name, profile address and photo, headline and about text, current and past jobs with employers and dates, education, skills, languages, certifications, location, number of connections and followers, and public activity on LinkedIn (posts, comments and reactions). From job ads: the ad and the contact person it names, with the title and the phone number or email address as printed in the ad. From Brønnøysundregistrene: who is the CEO and other registered roles.

Where from. We get public LinkedIn profiles through two data providers, Parallel Web Systems and Linkup, which fetch pages that are publicly available. Job ads come from Norwegian job boards, and company data from Brønnøysundregistrene, the official company register.

What for. To find companies that just lost someone in a role our customers recruit for, check whether the company is hiring again, and show the customer the right person to contact there (the head of the team, HR or the CEO). We sort people by role, seniority and employer and work out who left and who joined. This sorting does not lead to any decision with legal or similarly significant effects for you.

Legal basis. Legitimate interest (GDPR article 6(1)(f)). Companies that lose staff often need help to recruit, and recruitment firms have a legitimate interest in offering that help. We have weighed this against your interests: we use only professional information that you or your employer made public, we do not seek out sensitive data (health, religion, political views and the like), a lead hides the company and every name until a paying customer opens it, public pages never name anyone, a lead carries no email addresses or phone numbers, and you can object at any time.

Why you read it here. We did not get this data from you and do not have your contact details, so we cannot tell each person directly (article 14(5)(b)). This page is how we inform you.

How long. As long as you work in Norway in a role we cover and the information is current. If you object, we delete it.

3. Our customers

What. Name, work email and the company you sign up for; the roles and places you pick; the leads you reveal, the statuses you set and the credits you give back; requests you send us; and the members you invite. For billing: plan, subscription status and invoices. Stripe handles payment, so card details never reach us. If you give a VAT number at checkout, Stripe stores it with the invoice. The emails we send you, and whether you unsubscribed. Sign-up, first reveal and first payment as events, so we can see where new customers get stuck.

Legal basis. To provide the service under our terms (article 6(1)(b)). To keep accounting records as the law requires (article 6(1)(c)): the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act requires invoices and accounts to be kept for five years. Legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f)) to keep the service secure, improve it, and email you about your account and new leads. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.

How long. While your account is open. When you close it, we delete or anonymise your data within 90 days, except accounting records we must keep for five years.

4. Visitors to staffingradar.com

When you open staffingradar.com, Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. We use the country your IP address points to and your browser's language to show the right page, and store neither. Our server logs are deleted within 30 days.

The page loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google.

If you join the waitlist or ask for the full list, we keep your email address, the country you chose and your language, to write to you about it. We delete it when you ask, and after 24 months at the latest.

5. Cookies

  • sr_attr is set only when you arrive from an ad link. It holds the campaign tags and the ad platform's click reference for 30 days, so we can tell the ad platform that a visit led to a sign-up, a first reveal or a first payment. It is used for nothing else.
  • sr_lang remembers the language you picked with the language switch on the home page, for one year.
  • Sign-in (Clerk). When you sign in, Clerk sets the cookies that keep you signed in. The app needs them to work.
  • Payment (Stripe). Checkout and billing pages run on Stripe's own site, under Stripe's cookie policy.

We set no other cookies.

6. Who we share data with

Service providers that process data for us, under data processing agreements:

  • Cloudflare (USA): hosting, database, file storage, email sending, and the AI models we use to read profiles and job ads, which run on Cloudflare's network.
  • Clerk (USA): sign-in and organizations.
  • Stripe (Ireland and USA): payments, subscriptions and invoices.
  • OpenAI (USA): only for visitors who came from an ad in ChatGPT: the click reference and the event (sign-up, first reveal, first payment). No name or email.

The data providers we fetch public data from, Parallel Web Systems and Linkup, receive the addresses of the profiles we ask for and the searches we run.

Customers: a lead's company and contact person are shown to a customer when they reveal it. From then on the customer decides how the data is used and is responsible for that under data protection law.

Authorities, when the law requires it. A buyer of our business, if the company is sold or merged; this policy then still applies to the data.

Some of these providers are in the USA. There we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and otherwise on the EU's standard contractual clauses.

7. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict how we use it, or receive data you gave us in a machine-readable format. You can object to our use of your data at any time; for the people in our data, that means we delete it.

Write to hello@staffingradar.com. If you are in our data, include the address of your LinkedIn profile so we can find you. We answer within one month.

You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).

8. Security

The site runs only over HTTPS. Data is stored with Cloudflare, access is limited to the people who run the service, sign-in goes through Clerk and payment through Stripe. Leads are hidden on the server until revealed, so a page never carries names the customer has not paid to see.

9. Changes

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change matters to customers, we email them before it takes effect.

10. Contact

StaffingRadar, Møllergata 6, 8, 0179 Oslo. Email: hello@staffingradar.com.

This policy is also available in Norwegian. If the two versions differ, the Norwegian one applies.
